Word Travels is a youth-led project delivered by Integrity Initiative and Maeson’s Soapbox, bringing storytelling and zine-making workshops to young people across regional and remote Western Australia.

 

For two weeks in May 2026, we’ll travel more than 4,000km, delivering 12 storytelling and zine-making workshops across nine locations – from Geraldton to Onslow, Albany to Busselton.

 

Young people and community members will learn how to shape their stories, turn them into printed zines, and build practical skills in communication, design, teamwork, and safe lived-experience expression.
